#1 - Bristol County Jail House

Coordinates: 41.633503°, -70.934451°
Location Address: 226 Ash Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts
Sometimes referred to simply as the Ash Street Jail, the Bristol County Jail House in New Bedford, Massachusetts was constructed in 1888, and is one of the oldest operating prisons in the United States. Due to unsafe and unsanitary living conditions, the old jail has been the subject of numerous human rights lawsuits, as well as the site of two violent riots during the 1990's. The suspected ax-murderer Lizzie Borden was also held at the location for a short period while awaiting trial in June of 1893. The Bristol County Jail House is said to be haunted by the spirits of former inmates who were executed, committed suicide, or otherwise died tragic and violent deaths. Prisoners and guards at the old jailhouse report witnessing apparitions and shadow figures, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity lurking nearby. Others have reported waking up with sleep paralysis, or feeling as if an invisible force is holding them down.

#2 - New Bedford Armory

Coordinates: 41.641461°, -70.928156°
Location Address: 5 Sycamore Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts
The New Bedford Armory in New Bedford, Massachusetts was constructed in 1903 for use by a local militia called the New Bedford City Guards, which later became part of the United States Army National Guard. The location was abandoned in 2004, and has remained vacant ever since. Sometimes referred to simply as "The Castle," the old building is said to be haunted by the ghost of a National Guardsman who committed suicide in the gymnasium. Urban explorers investigating the old armory often report witnessing the former soldier's shadowy apparition, as well as feeling the presence of an unseen entity, or experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena, such as sudden cold spots or drops in temperature. Passersby walking outside the building late at night have also reported witnessing a man's silhouette staring at them from the vacant armory window. Some members of the Army National Guard who were previously stationed at the New Bedford Armory have even reported being pushed or physically assaulted by a ghostly entity, or witnessing a cloaked, shadowy figure that disappears when approached by the living. The New Bedford Armory was featured in an episode of the popular television series Ghost Hunters, where members of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (or T.A.P.S.) allegedly captured video evidence of a foggy apparition in the building's gymnasium. At the same time, former T.A.P.S. member Frank DeAngelis reported feeling a spiritual entity pass through him and was knocked to the ground. The encounter allegedly frightened Mr. DeAngelis so badly that he resigned from the Ghost Hunters crew shortly after.

#3 - Zeiterion Theatre & Performing Arts Center

Coordinates: 41.633090°, -70.925236°
Location Address: 684 Purchase Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts
The Zeiterion Theatre was constructed in 1923 by a New Bedford man named Barney Zeitz, who committed suicide in the theater's projection room in 1946. Since his death, guests and employees at the old theater have reported witnessing the apparition of a man matching Mr. Zeitz's description, as well as feeling sudden cold spots, and experiencing feelings of being watched by an unseen entity.
