Location Address: 160 Convent Ave, New York City, New York City College of New York in New York City (also known as "CCNY") was established in 1847 as the Free Academy of New York. Students dating back to the 1920's have reported encountering the spirits of former students and professors, including one student who passed away in 1918 while attending the college. Many apparitions are seen wearing clothing from decades passed, while others are said to appear to wear modern clothing and attire. Students throughout the college also report feeling cold spots and sudden drops in temperature, as well as feeling the presence of an unseen entity. #2 - Dakota Apartments

Location Address: 1 W. 72nd Street, New York City, New York Constructed in 1884, the Dakota Apartments in New York City were made infamous on December 8, 1980 when the famous British rock star, John Lennon, of The Beatles was assassinated on the sidewalk outside. Since his death, many people report witnessing Lennon's apparition, including Lennon's former wife, Yoko Ono, who lived in the building for another twenty years after his death. Other residents report encountering the spirit of a young girl with blonde hair, as well as a wandering spirit known as "The Crying Lady." Many also report hearing the sounds of disembodied voices and footsteps, as well as experiencing other unexplained paranormal activity, such as objects moving by themselves, unexplained cold spots, and feelings of being watched by an unseen entity. Reports of paranormal activity at The Dakota date back to shortly after the hotel's opening in the late 1880's, with painters and other workers claiming to encounter spirits from earlier times. #3 - Hotel Des Artistes

Location Address: 1 W. 67th Street, New York City, New York Constructed in the early 1900's, the Hotel Des Artistes in New York City is said to be haunted by the spirit of the famous American actor, James Dean, who maintained ownership of a 2nd floor apartment until his death in September of 1955, even after moving to Hollywood. Another spirit said to haunt the old hotel is that of a man named Valentino, whose apparition is allegedly seen reflected in windows and mirrors, and accompanied by the strong smell of exotic cologne. In addition to witnessing these apparitions, guests at the Hotel Des Artistes report experiencing a variety of other paranormal activity, such as disembodied voices, cold spots, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity. #4 - New Amsterdam Theater

Location Address: 214 W. 42nd Street, New York City, New York Constructed in 1903, the New Amsterdam Theater in New York City is said to be haunted by the spirit of a former chorus singer named Olive Thomas, who committed suicide on September 10, 1920 by drinking mercury. Her apparition is often seen by employees and audience members late at night and during performances, and many report experiencing strange paranormal activity such as cold spots, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity. Others report feeling unexplained feelings of sadness that subside upon leaving the location. #5 - One If By Land, Two If By Sea Restaurant

Location Address: 17 Barrow Street, New York City, New York Constructed in 1767 as a carriage house, the One If By Land, Two If By Sea Restaurant in New York City is said to be haunted by the spirit of a man named Aaron Burr and his young daughter Theodosia, who were allegedly kidnapped and murdered by pirates. Patrons report witnessing their apparitions, as well as encountering the spirit of an unknown woman in a black dress. Others report experiencing paranormal activity such as cold spots, lights flickering, and objects such as plates and dishes being moved by an unseen entity. Several staff members working at the restaurant have allegedly quit over the years due to their paranormal experiences.

Location Address: 180 Greenwich Street, Manhattan, New York Many rescue workers and emergency response teams on the morning of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City allegedly reported witnessing the apparition of a mysterious dark skinned woman wearing a white dress, who appeared at the collapsing World Trade Center to assist wounded victims and to help the souls of the deceased to pass over. Since the September 11th terrorist attacks, visitors at Ground Zero in Manhattan report witnessing the apparitions of victims and rescue workers who were killed tragically, as well as experiencing other paranormal phenomena, such as hearing disembodied voices, explosions, and screams, or feeling the presence of an unseen entity. Many first responders have also reported being visited in their dreams by deceased victims. #2 - Hotel Chelsea

Location Address: 222 W. 23rd Street, Manhattan, New York Constructed in 1884, the Hotel Chelsea in Manhattan, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of British rock star Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols, who is said to have murdered his then-girlfriend Nancy Spungen before later dying of a heroin overdose. Another spirit commonly observed by guests is that of the famous writer and poet Dylan Thomas, who passed away in November of 1953 while staying in Room 206. It is unknown how many other spirits reside at the Hotel Chelsea, but guests frequently report encountering shadow figures and apparitions, as well as feeling a mysterious presence, as if being watched by an unseen entity. Other guests have reported experiencing lights and other electronic devices turning on and off by themselves, as well as hearing the sounds of disembodied voices and screams late at night. #3 - Morris-Jummel Mansion & Museum

Location Address: 65 Jumel Terrace, Manhattan, New York Constructed in 1765 by a British military officer named Colonel Roger Morris, the Morris-Jumel Mansion in Manhattan, New York is sometimes also referred to as "Mount Morris." It served as a military headquarters for British and later for American troops during the American Revolutionary War, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1961. The mansion is said to be haunted by the spirits of several of its former owners and occupants, including the spirit of a young woman named Elizabeth Jumel, whose apparition is allegedly seen by employees and guests. Guests at the mansion have also reported witnessing the spirits of former American soldiers wearing Revolutionary War-era uniforms, and the 3rd floor of the mansion is said to be haunted by the spirit of a former maid who died of a heart attack. #4 - New York University

Location Address: Brittany Hall, 55 E. 10th Street, Manhattan, New York Residents in Brittany Hall at New York University in Manhattan, New York report hearing disembodied footsteps, music, and the sounds of men talking. Many claim that it sounds like a party is being held, however the location where the noises come from is always empty. Brittany Hall was constructed in 1929 as the Brittany Hotel, and was allegedly used as a speakeasy during the prohibition era.

Location Address: Leolyn Woods, South Street, Lily Dale, New York Located in the Leolyn Woods of Lily Dale, New York, the monument known as Inspiration Stump is used by psychic mediums to assist with contacting the spirits of the dead. Many visitors report witnessing apparitions and feeling an unexplained energy or presence, and many also believe the stump to be a type of spiritual vortex or portal. The town of Lily Dale holds spiritualist ceremonies at Inspiration Stump twice a day during the summer months, where people are encouraged to reach out to spirits for guidance. #2 - Lily Dale Assembly Hall

Location Address: 11 Cleveland Ave, Lily Dale, New York Constructed during the 1880's as a meeting place for psychic mediums and spiritualists, Lily Dale Assembly Hall in Lily Dale, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of a bearded man, whose apparition is seen wearing glasses and Victorian-era clothing. Guests at the hall also report feeling cold spots, and sensing the presence of an unseen entity. The Lily Dale Assembly Hall is currently used by the residents of Lily Dale for various workshops, lectures, and demonstrations. #3 - The Maplewood Hotel

Location Address: 11 Cottage Row, Lily Dale, New York The Maplewood Hotel in Lily Dale, New York was constructed in the late 1800's, and is said to be haunted by a large number of unidentified spirits who remain for unknown reasons. Guests at The Maplewood Hotel report witnessing shadow figures and apparitions, as well as hearing the sounds of disembodied footsteps at night. Others report being woken in the middle of the night by a shadowy entity, or feeling a strange presence, as if someone else is in the otherwise empty room.

Location Address: Mohican Street & Dieskau Street, Lake George, New York Caldwell Cemetery in Lake George, New York is named after an Irish immigrant named James Caldwell, who founded the town of Caldwell in 1810, which later became the town of Lake George. It is said to be haunted by the spirits of former Colonial soldiers who were killed in a smallpox outbreak in the early 1810's. Many visitors report witnessing the apparitions of former soldiers wearing military uniforms, as well as hearing the disembodied sounds of musket fire, and smelling gunpowder. Others have reported feeling sudden cold spots and drops in temperature, as well as feeling a strange presence, as if being watched by an unseen entity. #2 - Ft. William Henry Museum

Location Address: 48 Canada Street, Lake George, New York Ft. William Henry in Lake George, New York was established in 1755 as a British military outpost during the French and Indian War. It is said to be haunted by the spirits of over 200 British troops who were massacred by a tribe of Native American warriors after surrendering to invading French forces in 1757, though some estimate the number of casualties to be as high as 1,500. Visitors at the museum report witnessing the apparitions of former soldiers, as well as experiencing strange paranormal activity, such as disembodied voices, cold spots, doors opening and closing by themselves, and objects being moved by an unseen entity. The location served as the headquarters for many government officials until 1963, and is said to be haunted by the spirits of former prisoners who were sentenced to death and executed. Visitors at the location often report witnessing apparitions, as well as experiencing sudden cold spots, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity. #5 - Long Island Campground

Location Address: 290 Canada Street, Lake George, New York Long Island is a small island located off the coast of Lake George, New York, not to be confused with the more well-known Long Island of New York City. It is said to be haunted by the spirit of a bride and groom who were murdered while spending their honeymoon camping on the island during the 1960's. Campers staying at the site have reported encountering the spirit of a woman wearing a white wedding gown, as well as experiencing other unexplained paranormal activity, such as disembodied voices, cold spots, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity.

Location Address: Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn, New York Constructed between 1869 and 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, New York is said to be haunted by the spirits of at least twenty former workers who were killed during its construction. Motorists and pedestrians at night often report witnessing shadow figures, as well as hearing disembodied voices and screams. One commonly seen spirit is that of a headless man who was allegedly decapitated by a large cable during the bridge's construction, and another is that of a young girl whose spirit is seen by pedestrians at night. It's also estimated that hundreds of people over the years have committed suicide by jumping from the Brooklyn Bridge, whose spirits may still linger at the location of their death. #2 - Brooklyn Public Library

The documentary went on to claim that the girl's spirit still lingers to haunt the building, however these claims were later debunked as being a hoax invented by the students. #3 - Highland Park

Location Address: Jackie Robinson Parkway, Brooklyn, New York Established in 1901, Highland Park in Brooklyn, New York is a wooded park spanning 141 acres, with trails for walking and other outdoor amenities. Visitors at Highland Park report encountering the apparition of an unknown woman and child. Unfortunately, little else is known about this allegedly haunted location. #4 - McCarren Park

Location Address: 776 Lorimer Street, Brooklyn, New York Opened in 1906 as Greenpoint Park, McCarren Park in Brooklyn, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of a young girl who drowned in the old swimming pool, as well as several other apparitions. The pool was closed and drained in 1984, and according to police records a number of homeless people taking refuge in the empty pool have been found dead over the years, many having died from drug overdoses, murder, suicide, or other unnatural causes. Visitors at McCarren Park also report feeling the presence of an unseen entity, while sometimes experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena, such as hearing disembodied voices and feeling sudden cold spots. #5 - Most Holy Trinity Church

Location Address: 138 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn, New York Opened in 1841, the Most Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of a former sexton and bell ringer named George Stelz, who was murdered in the church's bell tower in 1897. According to legend, the man's bloody hand prints can still be seen in the spot where he was killed, and many churchgoers have reported encountering the apparition of a man believed to be Mr. Stelz. Others report witnessing the church's bell being rung by an unseen entity. Another spirit said to haunt Most Holy Trinity Church is that of the former Monsignor Michael May, who passed away in 1895. #6 - St. Joseph High School

Location Address: 67 Broadway, Fort Edward, New York Constructed in the 1840's as a blacksmith shop, the Anvil Inn in Fort Edward, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of a woman whose apparition is allegedly seen by patrons at the bar. Guests report experiencing strange paranormal phenomena, such as cold spots, doors opening and closing by themselves, and objects such as plates and bottles being dropped to the floor by an unseen entity. Employees also report experiencing lights and other electronic devices turning on and off by themselves. #2 - Ft. Hudson Health System

Location Address: 319 Broadway, Fort Edward, New York Fort Hudson Health System in Fort Edward, New York is an assisted living home for senior citizens. It is said to be haunted by the spirit of a man in a black suit, whose apparition is often seen by residents at night, as well as the spirit of a woman in a white dress, known as "The Lady In White." Employees and residents often report experiencing other paranormal activity, such as cold spots, sudden drops in temperature, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity. #3 - Jane McCrea House

Location Address: 111 Broadway, Fort Edward, New York The Jane McCrea House in Fort Edward, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of a woman named Jane McCrea, who was killed by Native American warriors in July of 1777. According to legend, Jane McCrea was engaged to a British soldier when fighting broke out in the fort. When Jane attempted to flee, she was captured and later scalped after a failed ransom negotiation with British troops. Ever since, her spirit is said to haunt the Jane McCrea House, and residents report experiencing strange paranormal phenomena, such as apparitions, disembodied voices, footsteps, and lights turning on and off by themselves.
