Springfield College
"Springfield YMCA Training School"

Location Address: 263 Alden Street, Springfield, Massachusetts
Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts was established in 1885 as a training school for YMCA workers. One urban legend claims that Alumni Hall is haunted by the spirit of a man named James Naismith, who invented the sport of basketball while attending Springfield College in 1891. Although legends of Mr. Naismith's spirit haunting the college have been passed down for generations, many believe these stories to be nothing more than urban legends.

Van Horn Park
"Van Horn Park Reservoir"

Location Address: 494 Armory Street, Springfield, Massachusetts
Van Horn Park is a large, wooded park located in Springfield, Massachusetts. It is said to be haunted by the spirits of two young boys who drowned while swimming in the park's reservoir. According to legend, their spirits are seen and heard by those walking in the park at night, splashing and crying out for help. Van Horn Park has also been the site of several murders and kidnappings over the years, which many believe to be another source of paranormal activity. Sometimes also referred to as "Van Horn Pond," "Van Horn Park Pond," or "Van Horn Park Loop Trail."

Western New England University

Location Address: 1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, Massachusetts
Established in 1919, Western New England University is a nonprofit university located in Springfield, Massachusetts. One popular urban legend passed down by students claims that Berkshire Hall is haunted by the ghost of a former student who committed suicide, however very little additional information is available regarding this alleged haunting.
