YouTube Video I made to go along with this Blog:

#1 - Danvers State Hospital

Coordinates: 42.585062°, -70.981717°
Location Address: 1101 Kirkbride Drive, Danvers, Massachusetts
Constructed in 1878 as the State Lunatic Hospital At Danvers, the Danvers State Hospital was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and was permanently shut down in 1992. The hospital and its series of underground tunnels are said to have inspired H.P. Lovecraft's novel, Arkham Sanitarium, which later inspired Batman's Arkham Asylum. Although most of the old buildings at Danvers State Hospital were demolished in 2007, the administration building and cemetery remain. The remainder of the 77-acre campus was redesigned as the Bradlee Danvers Apartments, which are rumored by many to be haunted. Urban explorers who have entered the old administration building report witnessing the spirits of former mental patients who were abused and neglected by caretakers, and subjected to inhumane medical procedures such as electroshock therapy and lobotomies. In its later years Danvers State Hospital began to admit criminally insane patients and became heavily overcrowded, which helped to further the atmosphere of abuse, neglect, and violence. Residents living at the newly constructed Bradlee Danvers Apartments report witnessing mysterious orbs and flashing lights coming from the abandoned administration building late at night, as well as hearing the sounds of disembodied voices, screams, and moaning. Others often report feeling a strange presence, as if being watched by an unseen entity.

#2 - Endicott Family Cemetery

Coordinates: 42.554783°, -70.930696°
Location Address: 25-55 Clinton Avenue, Danvers, Massachusetts
Established during the 1840's as a private family burial ground, the Endicott Family Cemetery in Danvers, Massachusetts is said to be haunted by three members of the Endicott family; a woman named Margaret, and her two sons, Jeremy and Alex. Paranormal investigators at the old cemetery report witnessing the three forlorn spirits dressed in old clothing from the 1800's, as well as experiencing other paranormal phenomena, such as unexplained cold spots and drops in temperature, and feeling the presence of an unseen entity. Over the years the Endicott Family Cemetery was abandoned and fell into a state of neglect and disrepair. One popular belief among locals is that the three spirits remain at the cemetery to protect their final resting places from vandalism, with many also noting that the headstones of Margaret, Jeremy, and Alex are some of the only burial sites that haven't been vandalized.

#3 - Peabody Institute Library

Coordinates: 42.561625°, -70.940961°
Location Address: 15 Sylvan Street, Danvers, Massachusetts
The Peabody Institute Library was constructed in 1891 and has served as the Danvers town library ever since. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, and is said by many to be haunted by the spirit of an elderly man. Guests on the library's 3rd floor often report witnessing the man's apparition, as well as feeling a strange presence, as if being watched by an unseen entity. Others have even reported being "shooshed" by a disembodied voice. Although many patrons at the Peabody Institute Library have reported encountering the old man's spirit over the years, his identity and the reason for his presence remain unknown.
