Nelsen's Hall Bitters Pub in Washington Island, Wisconsin was constructed in 1899 by a Danish immigrant named Tom Nelsen. It remained open throughout the American Alcohol Prohibition under the guise of serving bitters as a medical treatment for stomach issues, and is rumored to be haunted. Many report witnessing the apparition of a man believed to be the late Tom Nelson, and experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena such as doors opening and closing by themselves, and the sounds of disembodied footsteps. Employees also report feeling a strange presence. Additional research for this allegedly haunted location is currently in progress.

"Death's Door Lighthouse"

Pottawatomie Lighthouse in Washington Island, Wisconsin was first built in 1836, and rebuilt in 1858. The shores surrounding the island are known for being especially treacherous to sailors, leading to its nickname, "Porte De Morts," or "Death's Door." The lighthouse is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former lighthouse keeper who committed suicide after failing to prevent a shipwreck. Range Line Road
"The Legless Ghost Of Range Line Road"

Range Line Road in Washington Island, Wisconsin is said to be haunted by the spirit of a tall, legless woman named Gretchen. Her ghostly figure is allegedly seen floating down the road at night, followed by a supernatural fog obscuring her legs. According to stories passed down by locals, Gretchen was a milkmaid who delivered milk on Range Line Road but became afflicted with a disease later in life that caused her lower body to become crippled. In another version of the story, her abnormally tall body was unable to fit into the coffin when being buried that her legs were removed by the mortician.
