9/11 Memorial Site & Museum
"The September 11th Museum"

Location Address: 180 Greenwich Street, Manhattan, New York
​Many rescue workers and emergency response teams on the morning of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City reported witnessing the apparition of a mysterious dark-skinned woman wearing a white dress, who appeared at the collapsing World Trade Center to assist wounded victims and to help the souls of the deceased to pass over. Since the September 11th terrorist attacks, visitors at Ground Zero in Manhattan report witnessing the apparitions of victims and rescue workers who were killed tragically, as well as experiencing other paranormal phenomena, such as hearing disembodied voices, explosions, and screams, or feeling the presence of an unseen entity. Many first responders have also reported being visited in their dreams by spirits of the deceased victims.

Hotel Chelsea

Location Address:  222 W. 23rd Street, Manhattan, New York
Constructed in 1884, the Hotel Chelsea in Manhattan, New York is said to be haunted by the spirit of British rock star Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols, who is said to have murdered his then-girlfriend Nancy Spungen before later dying of a heroin overdose. Another spirit commonly observed by guests is that of the Welsh writer and poet, Dylan Thomas, who passed away in November of 1953 while staying in Room 206. It is unknown how many other spirits reside at the Hotel Chelsea, but guests frequently report encountering shadow figures and apparitions, as well as feeling a mysterious presence, as if being watched by an unseen entity. Other guests have reported experiencing lights and other electronic devices turning on and off by themselves, as well as hearing the sounds of disembodied voices and screams late at night.

Morris-Jumel Mansion & Museum
"The Morris-Jumel Mansion"

Location Address:  65 Jumel Terrace, Manhattan, New York
Constructed in 1765 by a British military officer named Colonel Roger Morris, the Morris-Jumel Mansion in Manhattan, New York is sometimes also referred to as "Mount Morris." It served as a military headquarters for British and later American troops during the American Revolutionary War, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1961. The mansion is said to be haunted by the spirits of several of its former owners and occupants, including the spirit of a young woman named Elizabeth Jumel, whose apparition is allegedly seen by employees and guests. Guests at the mansion have also reported witnessing the spirits of former American soldiers wearing Revolutionary War-era uniforms, and the third floor of the mansion is said to be haunted by the spirit of a former maid who died of a heart attack.

New York University

Location Address:  Brittany Hall, 55 E. 10th Street, Manhattan, New York
Residents in Brittany Hall at New York University in Manhattan, New York report hearing disembodied footsteps, music, and the sounds of men talking. Many claim that it sounds like a party is being held, however the location where the noises come from is always empty. Brittany Hall was constructed in 1929 as the Brittany Hotel, and was allegedly used as a speakeasy during the prohibition era. Lastly, Furman Hall was constructed over the site of Edgar Allan Poe's former home, and many students over the years have reported allegedly encountered the famous author's apparition climbing the main staircase.

The Museum Of Modern Art
"The MoMA"

Location Address:  11 W. 53rd Street, Manhattan, New York
The Museum of Modern Art (sometimes called "The MoMA") in Manhattan, New York first opened on November 7, 1929, and is renowned as being one of the largest and most influential art museums in the world. The location is said to be haunted by the spirit of an unidentified woman, sometimes referred to as "The Lady In White," and other times simply as "The MoMA ghost." Security guards and other employees working at The Museum of Modern Art at night have reported catching glimpses of The Lady In White, as well as experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena, such as lights flickering or turning on and off by themselves, and objects being moved by an unseen entity. Many also report feeling a strange presence, or hearing disembodied thuds and other sounds coming from the building's 6th floor, which is strictly off limits to guests and employees.
