The Inn At Wise in Wise, Virginia was built in 1910. Guests and employees often report witnessing apparitions, and experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena such as disembodied voices, or doors and windows opening and closing by themselves. University Of Virginia's College At Wise
"The University Of Virginia"

The University Of Virginia's College At Wise was established in 1954, and is believed to be haunted by several ghostly inhabitants. Bowers-Sturgill Hall was used in the 1930's throughout the 1950's as a home for unwed mothers, and is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a woman who committed suicide on the second floor. Students studying at the John Cook Wyllie Library also report encountering the apparition of a mysterious woman in white, who appears at night wearing a long, white, 1800's-era dress. Lastly, McCrary Hall is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former dorm mother named Lois Lowry, who remains to watch over the building and its residents. Additional research for this allegedly haunted location is still in progress.
