Carter's Grove Plantation in Williamsburg, Virginia was built in 1755 as a private residence. It was opened as a museum from 1969 until 2003, and is once again a PRIVATE RESIDENCE located on PRIVATE PROPERTY. The location is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former African American slave named Jim, whose apparition is allegedly seen wandering the grounds of the old plantation. Residents and previous guests have also reported hearing the sounds of disembodied footsteps, and a harp being played. Kimball Theatre

Kimball Theatre in Williamsburg, Virginia first opened in 1933. It was built over the site of an old home that was used as a makeshift hospital after the Battle Of Williamsburg on May 5, 1862. The theater is said to be haunted by the ghosts of two brothers who joined opposite sides and were both killed during the American Civil War. Sometimes also referred to as "The Williamsburg Theatre." A number of locations are believed to be haunted, including the Wren Building, Barrett Hall, Tucker Hall, and Phi Beta Kappa Hall, where students and employees report witnessing apparitions, and experiencing other paranormal phenomena. The college's Brafferton Building was built in 1723 to indoctrinate Native American children into Colonial society, and train them as missionaries and translators. The building is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young Native American boy who died trying to escape from the building's upper floors using a rope. Over the years, many students have reported encountering the young boy's apparition at the Brafferton Building, as well as an area of campus known as the Sunken Garden, where the boy used to play. Governor's Palace in Williamsburg was first constructed in 1706 as a residence for the royal governor of the colony of Virginia under British rule. The main building was used as a makeshift hospital for soldiers wounded during the Battle Of Yorktown before being destroyed by fire in 1781. It was reconstructed during the 1930's, and opened as a tourist attraction in 1934. According to legend, the hedge maze outside the Governor's Palace is haunted by the ghost of a young woman whose throat was cut. Those visiting the maze often report witnessing shadow figures, and hearing the sounds of disembodied footsteps and voices.
