Capitol Theatre

The Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, West Virginia was constructed in 1928 as a movie theater. Employees and guests often report witnessing the spirit of a former usher who once worked at the theater, as well as a number of other ghostly figures and apparitions. Hempfield Tunnel
"Hempfield Railway Tunnel"

The Hempfield Railway Tunnel in Wheeling, West Virginia was constructed in 1850 beneath the site of the old Hempfield Cemetery. Although most of the bodies from the old cemetery were moved, some were left behind and are now believed to haunt the tunnel, which is now part of the Wheeling Heritage Trail. Additionally, the ghosts of two men who were hit by oncoming trains are said to haunt the tunnel, and visitors frequently report hearing strange disembodied voices and other sounds. The Main Street Bridge in Wheeling, West Virginia was constructed in the early 1890's, and is said to be haunted by the ghost of a former worker who died during its construction by falling into the river below. Roney's Point Hospital

Roney's Point Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia was constructed in 1936 as a tuberculosis hospital. It remained open until the mid-1960's when it was converted into an hospital and halfway house for men and women suffering from drug addiction and other mental health issues. Urban explorers and paranormal enthusiasts visiting the location report witnessing apparitions and strange glowing lights coming from the abandoned asylum, and hearing the sounds of disembodied voices and footsteps.
