Port Huron History Museum
"The Carnegie Center"
Coordinates: 42.972154°, -82.426487°
Location Address: 1115 6th Street, Port Huron, Michigan
Established in 1967, The Port Huron Museum in Port Huron, Michigan is a series of four smaller museums located throughout the city. The Carnegie Center which serves as the museum's main building was constructed in 1904 as the Port Huron Public Library. The building was financed by the American industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and was later renamed as Carnegie Hall in 1967 when the new St. Clair County Library was constructed on McMorran Boulevard. Employees working at the historic museum often report hearing the sounds of disembodied voices, footsteps, and music playing, as well as experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena such as lights flickering, and doors slamming shut by themselves. Some have even reported witnessing objects being thrown across the room by an unseen entity, or being touched by ghostly hands. Although the identities of the spectral men and women haunting the Carnegie Center are unknown many speculate that they may be somehow tied to the historical objects and other artifacts on display at the museum, such as one iron lung machine which was used during the early 1900's to treat patients diagnosed with polio.
