The Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg, West Virginia was constructed in 1889 by a wealthy local businessman named William Chancellor. The location is said to be haunted by the spirit of a man wearing a tuxedo, believed to be the late William Chancellor, and three ghostly children who are allegedly seen and heard running and playing throughout the hallways. "The Old Camden Theater"

The Parkersburg Art Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia was founded in 1938, and constructed over the site of the old Camden Theater, which burned down in 1928. The location is said to be haunted by the ghosts of several men and women who previously haunted the old Camden Theater, whose apparitions are now allegedly spotted throughout the newly constructed art gallery. Many also report experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena such as furniture or other objects being lifted or moved by an unseen entity, and smelling the unexplained scent of buttered popcorn. Riverview Cemetery
"Cook Family Cemetery"

Riverview Cemetery in Parkersburg, West Virginia was established in the early 1800's as a private burial ground for members of the Cook family, and is sometimes referred to by locals as Cook Family Cemetery. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a man wearing a black overcoat, nicknamed "The Captain." His identity is believed to be that of a man named Captain George Deming, who is buried nearby. The area surrounding Riverview Cemetery was also used to bury African American slaves in unmarked graves, and those building houses nearby also report experiencing unexplained paranormal activity in their homes. One popular urban legend told by locals also claims that those who leave an offering for the statue known as the Weeping Woman will be either rewarded for being pure of character by having a wish granted, or judged as being unworthy and chased from the cemetery by an unseen force. Some even claim that the statue of the Weeping Woman comes to life on the full moon to roam the cemetery before being turned back to stone.
