Old Lynchburg City Cemetery

Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia was established in 1806, and spans over 26 acres. It was used for many years to bury African American slaves, and later for soldiers killed in the American Civil War. The historic cemetery is also the site of several historic museums and exhibits, such as the Pest House Medical Museum, which served as a quarantine house during the mid-1800's for men and women afflicted with diseases such as smallpox and cholera. Although many believe Old City Cemetery to be haunted, very few accounts of firsthand paranormal experiences at this location are currently available for reference.
