The Helper Mining & Railroad Museum in Helper, Utah was built in 1914 as a hotel, and is sometimes also referred to as the Western Mining & Railroad Museum. Employees and visitors at the museum often report encountering the ghost of a woman wearing an old fashioned dress, and hearing the disembodied sounds of a piano being played. The old Carbon Hotel in Helper, Utah was built in the early 1900's, and served as a brothel, hotel, and speakeasy during the American Alcohol Prohibition. It was closed during the 1970's and has remained abandoned ever since. Passersby often report witnessing the ghost of a woman wearing an old fashioned dress, or hearing strange disembodied sounds coming from the empty building late at night.
