Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Curio Collection By Hilton
"The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel"

The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan was constructed in 1913 as the Pantlind Hotel, and is said to be haunted by the spirits of a number of unidentified men and women who occupy the location for unknown reasons. Guests staying at the old hotel claim to witness apparitions and shadow figures, as well as furniture and other objects being moved around by an unseen entity, and doors that appear to open and close by themselves. Others report experiencing lights and other electronic devices such as televisions turning on and off unexpectedly, or being woken in the middle of the night by a shadowy apparition. Many guests also report feeling a negative, frightening presence in certain rooms and areas. The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel was purchased by Hilton Hotels as part of the Curio Collection in 2016.

Aquinas College is a Roman Catholic liberal arts college that was established in 1886 in Traverse City, Michigan by the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids. It was relocated to its current location in Grand Rapids in the 1940's, though some of the buildings on campus are much older. The 22-room Holmdene Mansion was constructed in 1908 by a wealthy man named Edward Lowe and his wife, Susan, and is rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a young boy. Security guards working at night report encountering the boy's spirit, who is allegedly responsible for a variety of paranormal phenomena, such as faucets, lights, and other electronic devices turning on and off by themselves. Students passing by the old building late at night also claim to witness a young boy's reflection in the windows after it has been closed and locked for the night.

Despite many who have claimed to encounter the ghost of Pickett Hall, her identity remains unknown.

Established in 1925, the Grand Rapids Civic Theater & School of Theatre Arts in Grand Rapids, Michigan consists of four historic buildings: the Majestic Theatre which was constructed in 1903, the Botsford Building which was constructed in 1892, the Hull Building which was constructed in 1890, and the Wenham Building which was constructed in 1878. Those attending performances at the Civic Theater often report witnessing shadowy, featureless apparitions that quickly vanish when approached by the living. Employees and performers also report experiencing unexplained feelings of sadness while working in certain areas, especially one area overlooking the theater's stage known as "The Peanut Gallery," where a man was pushed from the balcony and killed in the early 1900's. Additionally, actors and actresses rehearsing at night have reported hearing the sounds of disembodied voices and other strange noises, while also feeling a strange presence, as if an unseen entity is lurking nearby.

It was established in 1885 to care for Union Army soldiers who were injured during the American Civil War, which ended only twenty years prior in 1865. The location is said to be haunted by the spirits of retired American soldiers who passed away, over 4,000 of whom are buried at the nearby Grand Rapids Veterans Home Cemetery. Employees working at the old veterans' home report witnessing apparitions and hearing the sounds of disembodied voices, whispers, and footsteps, while also experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena such as sudden cold spots, lights flickering, and feelings of being watched by an unseen entity. Paranormal enthusiasts investigating the old cemetery that sits adjacent to the facility also report witnessing the apparitions of former soldiers wearing uniforms from different periods dating back to the American Civil War, in addition to experiencing unexplained technical issues with electronic equipment, such as batteries draining unexpectedly, and other strange malfunctions. The Old LaMar Hotel & Horseshoe Bar in Grand Rapids, Michigan was constructed in 1891, and is rumored to have been used as a brothel and speakeasy during the American Alcohol Prohibition of the 1920's and 1930's. The old hotel closed during the 1970's and sat abandoned until 2014, at which point it was used as a tattoo parlor, and then a restaurant called Horseshoe Smokehouse. The Horseshoe Smokehouse was closed in July of 2017, but over the years rumors began to circulate that the building may be haunted. Guests and patrons at the Old LaMar Hotel & Horseshoe Bar have repeatedly reported encountering the spirits of a young girl and a man, though their identities are unknown.
