"Mission Espiritu Santo"

Mission Espiritu Santo in Goliad, Texas was constructed in 1749 by Roman Catholic missionaries to convert local Native Americans to Christianity. The mission was abandoned during the mid-1800's, and later incorporated as part of Goliad State Park in 1931. It was renovated during the 1960's and 1980's, and added to the National Register Of Historic Places in 1977. Tourists visiting the location often report witnessing shadow figures and apparitions, including the ghost of a Native American man riding a horse. Mission Espiritu Santo is sometimes also referred to as Aranama Mission, or Mission La Bahia. Additional research for this allegedly haunted location is currently in progress.

Presidio La Bahia in Goliad, Texas is a Spanish fort that was constructed in 1721 before being moved to its current location in 1747. It is believed to be haunted by the ghosts of over 400 American soldiers who were captured and executed by Mexican army soldiers on March 27, 1836, in what later became known as the Goliad Massacre. Tourists visiting the historic location often report witnessing apparitions, and hearing the sounds of disembodied screams at night. Many also report witnessing phantom bloodstains, and the ghost of a woman in white is frequently sighted in the old courtyard. Additionally, the Our Lady Of Loreto Chapel within Presidio La Bahia is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman dressed in black, who is seen holding a candle. The Berclair Mansion in Goliad, Texas was constructed in 1936 by a woman named Etta Terrell and her four sisters. It was opened as a museum in 1999, and is said to be haunted by the ghosts of the five Terrell sisters, who all passed away while living at the home. Visitors often report encountering the ghost of an elderly woman believed to be the late Etta Terrell, or experiencing other unexplained paranormal phenomena such as sudden, unexplained cold spots, and feelings of being watched by an unseen entity.
