"The Lake Worth Monster"

Hikers and swimmers at Lake Worth in Ft. Worth, Texas over the years have reported encountering a fearsome half-man, half-goat creature known as "The Lake Worth Monster." In 1969, the enigmatic beast was even said to have jumped from a nearby tree onto the hood of an oncoming car, causing it to crash. The incident was witnessed by two additional passengers and was reported to authorities. Many locations throughout the United States and Texas have similar folklore involving creatures with a half-man, half-goat appearance, with various backstories and urban legends associated with them. The Foster House was built in 1853 by enslaved African American Workers, and is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a former caretaker, named "Ms. Jane." The building now serves as the museum's gift shop, where employees and visitors often report encountering the ghost of Ms. Jane, and experiencing other paranormal phenomena such as sudden, unexplained cold spots, and the unexplained scent of lilac perfume. Another spirit said to haunt the theater is that of a former actor named Kenneth Walker, who committed suicide in the prop room on January 7, 1970.
