"The William T. Sutherlin Mansion"

The Danville Museum Of Fine Arts & History in Danville, Virginia was built in 1858 as a private home for Major William T. Sutherlin, and is sometimes also referred to as the William T. Sutherlin Mansion. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a man believed to be the former Confederate president, Jefferson Davis, who stayed at the location briefly during the days leading up the the end of the American Civil War. Many also report encountering the ghost of an unidentified young girl who remains at the location for unknown reasons. Additional research for this allegedly haunted location is still in progress.

"The Lanier House"

The Lanier House in Danville, Virginia was built in 1830 by Captain James Lanier, who also served as the town's first mayor. The building was remodeled for use as a pediatrics hospital during the 1940's, and now houses the Law Offices Of Garrett & Garrett. Over the years, many have reported witnessing apparitions, hearing the sounds of disembodied voices and footsteps, or smelling the unexplained scent of tobacco smoke. The Bell-Pace-Boatwright House in Danville, Virginia was built in 1860 by a wealthy merchant named E.J. Bell. It is believed to be haunted by the ghosts of a number of former Civil War soldiers, as well as several other apparitions dressed in clothing from a similar time period. The Bell-Pace-Boatwright House is a PRIVATE RESIDENCE located on PRIVATE PROPERTY, and trespassers risk being arrested or prosecuted by law enforcement and/or property owners. Additional research for this allegedly haunted location is still in progress.
