First opened in 1933, the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is Texas's largest museum dedicated to pioneer history, art, and artifacts. It is located on West Texas A&M University's campus in Canyon, Texas, and is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a pioneer woman named Sarah Jane. Stafford Hall was constructed in 1935 and is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a former student who committed suicide, as well as a young woman who died by falling down the stairs.
