"The Beast Of Tar Road"

Sometimes referred to by locals as Tar Road or Tower Road, County Road 283 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia is a small gravel pathway used primarily by local hunters and hikers. Over the years, many have reported encountering a large, black, cat-like beast resembling a panther. Nearby residents have also reported hearing the sounds of loud, inhuman screeches late at night, and finding mutilated deer corpses and other animal carcasses deep in the woods. Over time locals have come to refer to the unidentified creature as "The Beast Of Tar Road." Additional research for this allegedly haunted location is still in progress.
