News & Updates
First off, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone reading this email, and everyone who takes the time to share my posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! As you know, I do all of the writing, research, web development, video editing, and content creation for GhostQuest.net myself, and I appreciate your support so much!!
I know it's been awhile since my last newsletter, and as those of you who follow along with my social media accounts know, it's because I've spent the last four months nonstop running a massive update on GhostQuest.net - and as of last week, those updates are finally finished!!!
So what's new, you might ask? Most notably, the number of allegedly haunted locations listed on GhostQuest.net has jumped from 4,969 to a total of 12,689. That's an increase of over 7,700 haunted locations added to my database, which averages out to 254 haunted locations in each state!! This may officially make GhostQuest.net the largest online database for haunted locations in the United States, and I'm so proud of the way things are shaping up!!
Additionally as I was going through each page, I decided to make some coding changes which should see improvements in site performance and loading speed, as well as making certain parts of the site look a bit tidier and more uniform. These changes have also improved the way GhostQuest.net is found by Google and has effectively doubled my traffic over the last few months, which is also really exciting!!
So, have you checked your state page in the last few weeks since my big update? Have you noticed any new haunted locations that weren't listed previously, or know one I may have forgotten? Reply to this email and let me know!!
I also released a new YouTube Video about The Wendigo, which is the last video of my Top 5 American Monsters series. Click below to learn more about the fearsome Wendigo, and hear the stories of Swift Runner, who murdered his wife and children while allegedly possessed by the spirit of a Wendigo, and Jack Fiddler, who claims to have killed dozens of Wendigos before his death.
I also record episodes for my YouTube Channel early for all my $1+ Patreon Subscribers to enjoy before everyone else!! My next video about the Top 3 Most Haunted Locations in Beverly, Massachusetts is already up, and I can't wait for you guys to see it! If you haven't checked out my Patreon Page, I have a bunch of other cool stuff on there too like blog posts, polls, videos, and more! Once I hit 20 subscribers I'll begin doing monthly contests and giveaways where you can win cool stuff like books, tee shirts, event tickets, and other merchandise! My $5 patrons also get free copies of all my upcoming eBooks, and for $10 you get free signed copies of all my upcoming paperback books as well!! To those of you guys who do support me on Patreon (all 5 of you!!) I just want to say a special THANK YOU for helping out, especially in these trying times! I work really hard to put out the amount of content I do on GhostQuest.net, and your contributions towards my hosting and production costs help out so much!!
Well, that's it for the GhostQuest.net May, 2021 newsletter! Thank you all again so much for subscribing and supporting GhostQuest.net! Have a spooky May!
