News & Updates
First off, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone reading this newsletter, and everyone who takes the time to send me messages on social media, and share my posts! I appreciate you all so much!!
Over the last month I've made a lot of exciting updates to GhostQuest.net, and have some exciting news to share with you all!! Firstly, I'm still hard at work on my Folklore and Haunted Locations Guide: Michigan, which now contains a list of almost 400 allegedly haunted locations. You can check them out by clicking here, and share your own stories by leaving a comment at the bottom of the page. Or if you know a location I may have missed, you can let me know by replying to this email, or leaving me a comment!
This month I haven't released any new YouTube Videos, because I've instead been spending time overhauling a few things; first off you'll notice that the thumbnails and other imagery on my YouTube channel have received a upgrade, which I know isn't super exciting... but it really needed to be done!! Next I went over some of my older videos to give them a little extra polish, which I'll be uploading over the next week or so. Then finally I'll be releasing a new video about 5 Notorious Haunted Places in Oswego, New York, as well as a few others I haven't announced yet! But here's a spooky clue... one is about one of the five cryptids featured in my Top 5 American Monsters eBook, which you can download for free as a subscriber to my newsletter!
In the meantime though, you can check out all my videos right from GhostQuest.net by clicking the "Media" link at the top of the page!! It would really help me out a lot if you guys could subscribe to my channel, leave me a comment, and share on social media!!
I've also been posting a weekly Blog about some of the awesome, spooky locations I write about on my New York & Massachusetts pages, in addition to adding new pages for each of the major cities in each of those states! What this does is allows users to see a much smaller page with information relevant to only that city, instead of listings for the entire state. This allows me to add more details about each individual location, including pictures, a widget that allows people to "rate" the location, and a section where viewers can leave comments or share their own stories. Last month I added pages for several haunted cities in Michigan, such as Allegan, Dearborn, Detroit, Flint, Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, Howell, Jackson, Kalamazoo, and Mackinac Isle. Over time I'll be creating a page like this for each city, and eventually one for each individual location too!
And now for the really exciting news!!! As many of you may remember, last year I began working on my first book series: The Folklore & Haunted Locations Guide, which covers a list of allegedly haunted locations in each state throughout the United States. My first book, The Folklore & Haunted Locations Guide: New York is well on it's way to being published, and has just received its final round of edits!! Last month I met with my publisher at Raven's Quill Publishing to go over the final publishing schedule, which means I'll finally have a release date to share soon! We're also in the process of finishing the cover design which I'll be sharing with you guys as soon as I can!
Last month I also added several new blog posts and videos to the GhostQuest.net Patreon Page as a special THANK YOU to all my awesome patrons (all 4 of you)! Your support means so much to me! So if you didn't know, all of my Patreon supporters receive early access to all of my blog posts and YouTube Videos, as well as getting to vote on upcoming content, and more! They get to see my blog posts and videos a whole week earlier than everyone else! Plus, once I reach 25 followers on Patreon I'll be doing a monthly giveaway where you can win awesome prizes, like gift cards, event tickets, hoodies, tee shirts, autographed merchandise, and all kinds of other stuff!! Additionally, those who join the Founder Tier ($3+) will receive a special shoutout on all my blog posts and YouTube videos as a thank you!! So if you haven't already done so, please consider supporting GhostQuest.net on Patreon to help me cover some of the costs of hosting my website and delivering all this awesome content! Over the last several years GhostQuest.net has quickly become one of the largest and most valuable online resources for paranormal enthusiasts... but it's a HUGE project for just one person!
In recent months I've started posting more stories, pictures, and other fun updates on social media, which have received some great feedback from you guys; our awesome Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and Pinterest followers! So first off, thank you guys for your support! I love hearing from you, and reading your comments and messages. I've also been posting some new videos to my YouTube Channel, so be sure to like and subscribe if you haven't already.
Lastly, I'd like to give a special shout out to my awesome Patreon followers (all 4 of you), who help to cover GhostQuest.net's monthly hosting costs! By making a small $1 monthly pledge you can really help me out with these costs, and for $3, you can become part of the "Founders Tier," which receives a special shoutout at the end of all my blog posts and videos as a special thank you. Believe it or not, the cost of running and maintaining such a huge website really adds up! Once I reach 25 subscribers on Patreon, I'll also be doing a special monthly giveaway, where patrons are automatically entered to win awesome prizes, like tee shirts, hoodies and apparel, gift cards, event tickets, and other awesome merchandise!
Well, that's it for the GhostQuest.net April, 2020 newsletter! Thank you all again so much for subscribing and supporting GhostQuest.net! Have a spooky April!
